IBEW Local 445 endorses Joe Kennedy for U.S. Senate

Kennedy has secured the majority of labor endorsements in the U.S. Senate race so far

Watertown, MA — On Friday, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 445 of Springfield endorsed Joe Kennedy III in his bid for U.S. Senate.

"Congressman Joe Kennedy has a proven track record of fighting for working families in Massachusetts," said Brian Kenney of IBEW Local 445. "Today, as our workforce changes and the needs of communities like Springfield change with it, we must continue to prioritize union jobs so that working men and women can provide for their families. We know Joe Kennedy will continue to fight with us in the U.S. Senate and we are proud to endorse him in this race."

"The hard working men and women of IBEW Local 445 keep Springfield and all of Western Massachusetts running everyday, and I am proud to have their support in this race," said Congressman Joe Kennedy. "One of the defining challenges of our times is that a middle-class job no longer provides a middle-class lifestyle. Massachusetts unions work day in and day out to ensure workers have a seat at the table and that they can provide for their families. I have proudly stood with labor my entire career and will continue to be a voice for workers across the state."

With his strong record on issues of workers rights and economic justice, Kennedy has secured the majority of labor endorsements in the U.S. Senate race so far, including Massachusetts Laborers, the Machinists Statewide Council, Machinists Local 264, Teamsters Local 25, IBEW 103, 104, 1505 & 223, UWA 369, Carmen Union 589, Sheet Metal Workers Local 17, IUOE Local 4 & UFCW local 791, the Boston Musicians Association Local 9-535, the Plymouth/Bristol County Regional Labor Council and the Norfolk County Regional Labor Council.
