CONGRESSMAN JOE KENNEDY III HOSTS COVID-19 TOWN HALL WITH STUDENTS

Students from across the state joined Congressman Joe Kennedy III for a virtual town hall to discuss COVID-19 and the impact on students

Watertown, MA — This morning, Congressman Joe Kennedy III hosted a students-only town hall to discuss COVID-19 and the impact on students across the state.

Both high school and college students tuned in for the town hall hosted on Zoom. The Congressman heard directly from students on the challenges they are facing regarding COVID-19, including virtual learning, paying student loans, and summer employment. Kennedy, a long time supporter of making college education more affordable and bringing down overall student debt across the country, made it clear that in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the federal government should work to cancel student loan debt.
