Congressman Kennedy announces a new video series with those fighting COVID-19 on the front lines; kicks-off today with MA firefighter head Rich MacKinnon

Watertown, MA — As the COVID-19 pandemic intensifies across Massachusetts, essential workers are risking their lives to ensure the safety of others. In a new video series called “Kennedy COVID-19 Frontline Reports” Congressman Joe Kennedy III will discuss what is happening on the front lines with doctors, nurses, first responders, and other essential personnel.

The series will kick-off with Rich MacKinnon, President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts (PFFM). President MacKinnon and Kennedy discuss the challenges faced by firefighters during the COVID-19 crisis, including lack of protective gear and their exposure to the virus.

These shorter clips will be scattered throughout the week on Twitter and Facebook and will join the regularly scheduled biweekly Kennedy Evening Broadcasts and Weekly Wednesday Q&A. This series will highlight the work being done by essential personnel during the COVID-19 crisis and will serve as an opportunity for workers to inform the public on how to keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe.

SCHEDULING NOTE: Out of respect for all those celebrating the beginning of Passover and Easter Weekend, Kennedy will not be hosting his regular Weekly Wednesday Q&A or Thursday Evening Broadcast this week.
